Focus and Scope
Business and Journal of Behavioral Economics (BJBE) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of business and economics within a global context, with a particular emphasis on the dynamic markets of Southeast Asia. Our primary mission is to publish high-quality, original research that bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practice. We aim to serve as a leading platform for impactful and innovative knowledge that informs academics, practitioners, and policymakers alike.
The journal welcomes substantial contributions across a wide range of disciplines. In the field of Management and Business, our scope encompasses strategic management, competitive advantage, and consumer behavior, alongside brand and digital marketing. We invite research on human resource management, organizational culture, and leadership, as well as operations, logistics, and supply chain management. Furthermore, the journal covers financial management, investment analysis, entrepreneurship, and the evolution of digital business models. We are also committed to exploring international business, globalization, business ethics, and the management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
In the area of Economics and Accounting, BJBE publishes research on applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, development economics, and public policy. We provide a dedicated space for diverse accounting studies, including financial and managerial accounting, auditing, and taxation. This extends to public sector accounting, accounting information systems (including Blockchain and financial data security), and Sharia-compliant accounting. Recognizing the importance of modern reporting, we also welcome papers on sustainability accounting (ESG), corporate social responsibility, and behavioral accounting, which examines the psychological impacts on financial decision-making.
Ultimately, BJBE strongly encourages interdisciplinary research that connects business and economics with technology, public policy, environmental science, and sociology. We accept submissions in the form of original research articles, comprehensive theoretical reviews, and in-depth case studies that contribute to the global academic discourse.
